Over the past two years, Lil’ Kim has been able to keep her name out there, in part due to her war of words with Nicki Minaj. There are many who have criticized Lil’ Kim for sparking a feud with the Young Money starlet, but through feuding with Nicki, new music came from the Queen Bee. Lil’ Kim last released an album in 2005, The Naked Truth.

Lil’ Kim began dissing Nicki Minaj in 2010, releasing a song titled “Black Friday,” a dig at the Pink Friday album title. Once the “Black Friday” song gained traction, Lil’ Kim had a music video filmed and released a full mixtape dedicated to dissing Nicki Minaj. Again, many were upset because the project was dedicated to dissing Nicki Minaj, but it was Lil’ Kim’s first full project in five years.

No longer addressing the feud, Lil’ Kim is focused on securing another label deal and releasing her next album, which will be her first in seven years. As she continues to search for the right label and completes her new album, Lil’ Kim will be going on tour. The first Lil’ Kim tour since 2010 will kick off in Austin, Texas in a few weeks, on May 11, called the “Return of the Queen” tour.
