The peak of Young Buck’s career came during his time as a member of G-Unit, as Buck was previously a member of Juvenile’s UTP camp. Following his 2008 split from G-Unit, Young Buck attempted to return to Juvenile’s crew, but 50 Cent refused to allow him out of his contract. Throughout 2008 and most of 2009, Young Buck and 50 Cent exchanged disses, with Young Buck opting to side with Rick Ross during their beef.

Before the end of 2009, Young Buck was singing a different tune, hoping to reconcile with 50 Cent in hopes of terminating his contract. After meeting with 50 Cent, Young Buck soon found himself, alongside Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Game, and B.G., dissed on his “So Disrespectful” track. Fed up, Young Buck returned to dissing 50 Cent and released a mixtape, which was backed by Maybach Music.

During a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Young Buck revealed he would love to return to G-Unit, similar to statements made by Game last year. Days after making this announcement, Young Buck has stated he is currently renegotiating with G-Unit. Since their run on top of the charts, things have drastically changed, with G-Unit virtually returning to the mixtape scene, as the deal with Interscope Records ended in 2010.
