At the peak of his career, Mystikal was forced to take a six-year break, as the rapper was sent to prison. When he was released, hip hop looked nothing like the hip hop he remembered. One thing remained the same though, Cash Money Records was still an authority.
The players for the team had changed, but they still wanted Mystikal on. Mystikal signed to Cash Money Records, earlier this year, and has enjoyed a nice comeback because of it. Recently, Beats TV, a series sponsored by Dr. Dre’s Beats by Dre, caught up with Mystikal and he spoke on how the deal came about.
Recently, Mystikal revealed there were other labels interested and he came close to signing with G-Unit Records.
