Kirko Bangz talks Success of “That Pole” with Vlad TV [VIDEO]

Last year was full of breakout stars and this year has produced a few more breakout stars. This year, so far, has been full of the same. Kirko Bangz, representing Houston, has been among the breakout stars of 2012. In November 2011, Kirko Bangz released “Drank in My Cup,” which went on to become one of 2012’s first hit singles. However, his promotional leak, “That Pole,” has had success, also.

Kirko Bangz recently spoke on the singles he has out. The Houston rapper has discussed his new music and the resurgence of the Houston hip hop scene. It was seven years ago when Houston burst onto the national hip hop scene. Hit singles came from Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and Chamillionaire. Since then, all those rappers have fallen back, a bit.

But, there is a new surge of artists representing Houston and the veterans are still making new music, also. Last month, Kirko Bangz released “That Pole” and it has already become more popular than his lead single. Kirko Bangz spoke on the success of his breakout single with Vlad TV.
