September has been an influential month in hip hop for some time. Many classic hip hop albums have been released in September and many of the most-influential rappers were born in September. Ludacris was born in September and released his impactful Release Therapy album in September.
Six years later, Ludacris has something more elaborate planned. For years, there has been discussion of an album from Ludacris called Ludaversal. Under a different title, the album was first mentioned in 2008. However, the album was delayed when Ludacris was forced to turn his joint album with Shawnna, Battle of the Sexes, into a solo album.
Ludaversal was given a 2011 timeframe for release, but htis never happened. Ludacris has been hard at work, still, releasing a popular mixtape in 2011. Now, Ludacris is going back to the main stage, gearing up for the release of his next album. Ludacris plans to release Ludaversal on his birthday, September 11, 2012.
