For twenty-five years, Ice Cube has been in the public eye. Proving people can change, he went from being public enemy number one to becoming one of the most-popular filmmakers ever. Ice Cube has produced several films and even has a sitcom on TBS. Still, Ice Cube does take time off to record a new album. Regardless of how many films and TV shows he produces, Ice Cube still makes gangsta records.

On the West Coast, Ice Cube has been known for years, long before the past twenty-five years. Sway Calloway was also well-known on his native West Coast before he made it big, internationally. He got his start on the radio and then became one of the best-known personalities on MTV. One artist to greatly benefit from Sway’s support was Eminem. When Eminem made it big, he launched his own radio station, Shade 45, and he gave back to Sway with his own show, “Sway in The Morning.”

Ice Cube recently sat down with Sway Calloway, as he has several projects in the works. The former hip hop bad boy is starring in the upcoming comedy, 21 Jump Street. Fans are eager to see that movie, but the real discussion is about the next Friday film in the works. Ice Cube has discussed doing another Friday for years, saying the only way he would do another was if the original cast was included, namely Chris Tucker. When Tucker left the film series, he was replaced with Mike Epps, who recently said he would love to work with Tucker on another Friday.

During his interview with “Sway in The Morning,” Ice Cube spoke on 21 Jump Street, Friday, and Detox, along with much more.
