Last weekend, Orlando was the place to be as hip hop and the NBA collided. Coverage of the performances found their way to several hip hop websites. But, once the weekend was over, everyone returned to their regular schedules, as Charlotte prepared themselves for the influx of visitors. The 2012 CIAA Tournament is set to begin this weekend, but the party started last night.
Ace Hood began the festivities in Orlando, but it was T.I. taking care of those honors last night in Charlotte. The past week has been an exciting one for T.I. His Grand Hustle label added three new artists, Trae Tha Truth, Chip, and Iggy Azalea. Grand Hustle also enjoyed mixtape releases from longtime artist, Young Dro, and newcomers, D.O.P.E.
T.I. performed some of his newer tracks at The Blake Hotel with a few of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in attendance.
