In 2005, there were many rappers to emerge successful from the Houston hip hop scene. Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, and Chamillionaire all experienced tremendous success during this period. While all the artists experienced success, Paul Wall was likely the least-known.
However, following 2006, all of the rappers were virtually forgotten, with the exception of Paul Wall. Over the years, Paul Wall has continued to release new music and has kept his name out there. Slim Thug also continued to release new music, but he does not appear to be as popular as Paul Wall. What keeps things going for Paul Wall is his willingness to step out of his comfort zone.
Paul Wall recently collaborated with Jill Scott, admitting that news may shock many. However, Paul Wall revealed he and Jill Scott have been friends for years. When recording with Scott, the two had a minor argument, but all was sorted out when Scott threatened to call Paul Wall’s wife. Paul Wall talked about a couple of subjects, but focused on on working with Jill Scott halfway through his conversation with Vlad TV.
