Among the breakout West Coast artists to enter the scene was YG. Alongside YG was the emergence of Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, the Creator, Lil B, and many more. With each of those artists making noise, for one reason or another, YG was easily overlooked. However, a couple days ago, YG was able to grab a bit of the spotlight when he landed a French Montana verse for his “Bitches Ain’t Shit” single.

YG discussed the single with XXL earlier today. The Los Angeles rapper credited French Montana for “killing” the track. “Bitches Ain’t Shit” is actually a single off his upcoming 4 Hunnid Degrees mixtape, set for a March 20 release. YG has recruited many of the up-and-coming artists for this upcoming project, including Meek Mill and Mac Miller.

While YG is excited about the upcoming mixtape, he is primarily focused on his upcoming debut album. The album does not have a title and YG has not scheduled a release date, either. Aside from music, YG is starring in the upcoming film, We the Party. YG will play the role of ‘CC,’ a twenty-year-old high school student with a child.
