It has taken nearly two decades, but Mystikal has made his rounds through the New Orleans hip hop scene. Mystikal was once a part of the No Limit Records movement and then took matters into his own hands. But, following some run-ins with the law, Mystikal took some time off from the rap game. When he resurfced, Mystikal was working with Mannie Fresh and he soon signed with Cash Money Records.
During an interview, Mannie Fresh spoke on this, saying he would produce tracks for Mystikal’s Cash Money debut. Birdman also spoke on this, saying Mannie Fresh does not currently have any input and that is the way he likes it. However, he would not stand in the way of Mystikal working with the former Cash Money in-house producer. Further discussing the situation, Birdman said he would prefer to not have Mannie Fresh on any future Cash Money projects.
Apparently, Birdman did not get this wish, as Mystikal’s latest song features Mannie Fresh. The song is called “Move Something.”
