When he was signed by Kanye West in 2009, becoming a part of G.O.O.D. Music, Big Sean felt his debut album would be released right away. Out of the gate, Big Sean realized his album would not come when he expected. Big Sean’s album was initially given a summer 2010 release date, but was delayed throughout the year. Late in 2010, Big Sean discussed his disappointment, landing him a release date.

Nearly exactly a year ago, Big Sean released his debut single, “My Last,” with Chris Brown, which gained much success during the spring months of 2011. Following the success of “My Last” came the music video and then the album came. Before the end of 2011, Big Sean was considered one of the biggest stars in the rap game. Months after his debut album, his label already had his second album planned.

Big Sean discussed his sophomore album with Bootleg Kev, announcing Kanye West will serve as executive producer. During the interview, Big Sean also revealed who would provide production for the new album.
