Last year, Shady Records star, Yelawolf, was asked how he felt about white rappers using the “N-word.” While he can be controversial, Yelawolf said he would never use the world. Growing up in the Deep South, Yelawolf understands the negative which comes from the original use of the word. Meanwhile, West Coast female, white, rappers, Kreayshawn and V-Nasty, of the White Girl Mob, often over-use the word.

Kreayshawn and V-Nasty have come under fire from such rappers, such as Game, for their actions, but have been accepted by many other rappers. At one point, the women promised they would no longer use the word in their lyrics. However, in recent years, when rappers vow to quit habits, they find themselves right back at them.

Mac Miller, one of the many 2011 breakout artists, also discussed the “N-word.” During an interview with VIBE, he was asked his opinion. Speaking on Eminem and Yelawolf, Mac Miller praised their senses of humor and how they deliver their lyrics. Mac Miller also said he agreed with Yelawolf about the “N-word,” saying no white rapper should ever use the word in their lyrics.
