Young Jeezy interview with Statik Selektah for Shade 45 [VIDEO]

There were rumors about Young Jeezy’s relationship with Def Jam when his TM103 album was met with delays. However, when the album was finally released, Young Jeezy credited the delays to him deciding to record the album in Miami. With fans demanding the new album, Young Jeezy decided he would not force his fans to wait another year, as the album would come in 2011. In the final days of the year, Young Jeezy made his triumphant return to the game.

Now celebrating his fourth consecutive gold album, Young Jeezy is able to look back on the tough moments in his career and discuss them. Recently, Young Jeezy discussed his early days at Def Jam during an interview with Statik Selektah for Shade 45. When he was recording Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, Def Jam refused to allow Young Jeezy to include the intro, “Thug Motivation 101.” When Young Jeezy added the song anyway, the label tried to block the album.
