A year ago, fans and critics were speculating about what Jay-Z and Kanye West were up to, months after they announced their Watch the Throne album. At the time, the duo was recording the album in a Manhattan hotel. Immediately, the duo released their “H.A.M.” single, but fans were left wanting more.

Months would pass before either Jay-Z or Kanye West would even speak to the media, let alone discuss their album. While Jay-Z and Kanye West stayed out of the spotlight, several producers discussed the new music. Many pundits also had a lot to say about the album, if it were truly going to be released.

Late in the summer of 2011, Jay-Z and Kanye West returned, recapturing the attention of the hip hop world. Watch the Throne was released, immediately making iTunes history and became one of the most-quoted rap albums in recent history. “Niggas in Paris” went on to become one of 2011’s biggest hit singles and awards have resulted from the album.

Now, Jay-Z and Kanye West are taking their act on the road, as they announced an international tour. The tour begins on May 20 in London at the O2 Arena.
