Not much has been heard from Waka Flocka Flame since the summer of 2011. It was during this period of time when he released his “Round of Applause” single. After the single became popular on the internet, Young Money rapper, Drake, added his own verse to the song. Upon hearing Drake’s verse, Waka Flocka Flame decided to add Drake’s verse to the official version of “Round of Applause.”
Early in the fall of 2011, the artwork for “Round of Applause” was released to the internet, but nothing followed. It was not until January 2012 when more information about the first single from Waka Flocka Flame’s second album was released. Footage from the “Round of Applause” video shoot has been released to the internet. Several clips have been released over the past few weeks.
With “Round of Applause” becoming one of the biggest singles in 2012, Waka Flocka Flame is building more buzz. The Brick Squad rapper will be making a few appearances, performing a number of his singles at Club Oceans in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Following his performance at Club Oceans on February 18, Waka Flocka will be in Hinesville, Georgina on February 19 at Club Bomaze.
