Bad Boy Records is back on top and it can easily be overlooked, as Diddy has reinvented the roster, similar to the way he reinvented the remix. Currently, Diddy is sitting back and enjoying the success of new Bad Boy artists, Machine Gun Kelly and French Montana. Both rappers intend to release their debut albums later this year.
Three years ago, Diddy announced his renewed focus on Bad Boy Records. While he is now involved in a myraid of business ventures, Bad Boy Records helped Diddy make his first million. By 2009, the label was a shell of its former self. Diddy realized this and vowed to restore his label to its former prominence, moving from Atlantic Records to Interscope Records.
Recently, Diddy was spotted at the video shoot for French Montana’s “Shot Caller (remix),” which features a verse from the Bad Boy honcho. Tonight, at midnight, fans can catch Diddy on ABC during the upcoming episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
