Last fall, Australian femcee, Iggy Azalea gained popularity, due to her Ignorant Art mixtape. Along with her mixtape, such singles as “Pussy” and “My World” gained the attention of Jimmy Iovine, the chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M. Iovine quickly signed Iggy Azalea to Interscope Records and she is already working on her debut album.

Iggy Azalea recently began working on her album, which is tentatively titled, The New Classic. The album is currently set for a June release date. Currently, Iggy Azalea is still searching for a production team, but she does have an executive producer. Iggy Azalea received an offer she could not refuse from the resurgent T.I.

Describing T.I.’s role on the album, Iggy Azalea said he will be working as both an A&R and executive producer for the album. Iggy Azalea said T.I. called her and asked if he could help her put the album together and she said of course he could. T.I. will be making calls on her behalf and will point her in the direction of things she might like.

Because of T.I.’s legal restrictions, he will not be able to travel, so Iggy Azalea will be traveling to Atlanta to meet with the Grand Hustle CEO and to begin recording her album. While the songs are written, Iggy Azalea said the hard part is finding production. Before the end of Feburary, Iggy hopes everything will be lined up and her album will be done. Once the album is done, it will be set for a June release date, which Iggy Azalea hopes will not be delayed.
