Common talks Drake beef

Exactly a week ago, Common made his series of tracks official with one line “make no mistake, I’m talking about Drake.” Since Common added a verse to Rick Ross and Drake’s “Stay Schemin’,” Drake has been relatively silent. The commentary surrounding the feud between Common and Drake have come from others, including Cash Money Records CEO, Birdman.

Birdman discussed the ongoing feud between Common and Drake, earlier this week. The question has been if Drake will respond to Common’s diss. To sum it all up, Birdman announced Drake would not be responding to the diss from Common. The Cash Money crew has been on top of the game over the past five years and they have not had any high profile feuds, outside of a few disses with Jay-Z.

With Cash Money breaking their silence, Common has now opened up on the feud with Drake. Because both men are known for their relationship with Serena Williams, many feel the two are sparring over her. Before the feud with Drake erupted, Common said his “Sweet” song was a typical hip hop song. Now discussing the beef, Common said the beef is not about Serena Williams, it is a beef for hip hop.
