In the twenty-one years he has been running Cash Money Records, Birdman has gotten used to winning. The roster Cash Money currently boasts is full of stars of today and in years past. For 2012, every artist signed to the label has a new project in the works. Birdman opened up about the Cash Money releases for the 2012 year.

Birdman said everyone signed to Cash Money Records will release a new album in 2012. Coming from the popular Young Money crew will be releases from Lil Twist, Tyga, and Nicki Minaj. The biggest artist under the Young Money/Cash Money movement, Lil Wayne, will also be out with another album. Birdman revealed Lil Wayne may release two albums in 2012.

In 2010, Lil Wayne released both Rebirth and I Am Not a Human Being. Due to his prison stint and the demand of Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne did not promote his second album in 2010. Lil Wayne will be making up for that with I Am Not a Human Being 2. While the album is currently in the works, Birdman said it does not have a release date.

Discussing Lil Wayne’s music, Birdman said it is all up to him. When he says he is ready to release his next album, Birdman will make sure the album is released. However, in the meantime, Birdman said he is focused on dropping albums from Lil Twist, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Bow Wow, and his own next album. In addition to the longtime Cash Money artists releasing new albums, Birdman also revealed Busta Rhymes and Mystikal will be releasing their own long-awaited albums in May of 2012.

One artist Birdman failed to mention was Drake. Since the 2010 release of Thank Me Later, Drake has been dominating the game. He recently released his Take Care album in November of 2011. The album is still doing very well and he will likely allow it to serve as his album for the 2012 year. While the albums are popular, Birdman is thinking bigger, his main goal for 2012 is touring. Birdman said one reason for having all of this talent under his Cash Money umbrella was to do his own tour and to reach out to new, talented, artists.

Birdman’s goal for 2012 is to continue to expand.
