West Coast trio, Pac Div, are among the artists who were stuck on a major label, with no release date in sight. The group finally released their debut album, The Div, which has been met with positive reviews and the Div can now discuss their situation. Pac Div was signed to Universal Records for a few years and are now on their own.

Pac Div member, Mibbs, spoke on the situation, saying everything happened without any issues. Mibbs said they asked to be released from Universal Records and the label granted them their wish. The paperwork was handed out in a quick manner and Universal Records did not stand in the way of the release of The Div.

The newly-independent Pac Div are touring with Mac Miller, an artist who made a name for himself as an independent artist. Without the support of a major label, Mac Miller sold over 200,000 copies in the first week of sales for Blue Slide Park. Mibbs said touring with Mac Miller has been crazy, as they have been introduced to a new fan base. The crew has also loved performing in front of sold out crowds every night.
