Maino suffers Album Delay with “The Day After Tomorrow”

During the summer of 2008, Maino released his breakthrough hit, “Hi Hater.” Many expected his debut album, If Tomorrow Comes… to be released in 2008. However, the album suffered from a year’s worth of delays. Due to his buzz and his Hustle Hard movement, some critics hailed Maino as the next major rapper to emerge from New York City.

Following the successful release of If Tomorrow Comes… in 2009, Maino promised fans he would release his next album in 2010. Waiting on the album to be released, Maino soon had to push the album back. Instead of his album, Maino released a mixtape in 2010, as he continued to work on his second album, The Day After Tomorrow.

Maino had planned to release The Day After Tomorrow before the end of 2011. For promotional purposes, Maino entered a joint deal with Atlantic Records and E1 (Koch Records) for his album. Still, Maino has suffered another delay, after the October 4 release date came and went without a release from the Brooklyn rapper.

The Day After Tomorrow is now slated for release on January 31, 2012.
