Pusha T promises fans The Clipse will continue making New Music

During the summer of 2010, Kanye West pulled off a power move when he signed Pusha T, the veteran rapper of brotherly duo, The Clipse, to his G.O.O.D. Music. Early in 2010, The Clipse announced they would be taking a break to focus on solo music. Immediately, Pusha T began making several solo moves. First, he signed with G.O.O.D. Music and he had two high-profile features on Kanye West’s comeback album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

While Pusha T had success with his Fear of God series and his solo career, Malice has taken a little more time with his solo career. Last month, Malice announced he would be changing his rap alias to something more positive. Following his name change, Malice said he would soon release more solo music of his own. With the two brothers going in different directions, some fans feared this would be the end of The Clipse.

Recently, Pusha T did an interview with DJ Semtex and he discussed The Clipse. In spite of their solo careers, Pusha T said The Clipse will never split up. While the duo will continue to make music together, Pusha T said right now they are focused on their own solo projects. Discussing their split, Pusha T said it was Malice’s idea for them to focus on their solo projects, as Pusha was focused on releasing the next album for The Clipse. Malice instead opted to begin writing a book and he advised Pusha T to record his own solo album.
