Tyler, the Creator to release “Wolf” in May 2012

In 2011, the world truly got to know Tyler, the Creator. For years, the West Coast hip hop scene had been struggling. Tyler, the Creator, along with several others, was among the new talent to emerge. Despite releasing his debut album, Bastard, in 2009, most fans did not learn of Tyler until “Yonkers,” which was followed by the release of his second album, Goblin.

At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, many fans heard Tyler, the Creator speak for the first time. Many of his songs are filled with Bruno Mars disses, including “Yonkers,” which also takes aim at B.o.B. When asked about the disses, Tyler said it was nothing personal, he just hated their music. Tyler, the Creator went on to win a VMA for ‘Best New Artist.’

Aside from his solo work, Tyler, the Creator was featured on Pusha T’s hit, “Trouble on my Mind” and Game’s “Martians vs. Goblins,” which is featured on The R.E.D. Album. For the first part of 2011, Odd Future focused on their front man, now the group is getting their time to shine. The group recently covered Spin and they discussed their upcoming projects. Tyler, the Creator told the magazine he would release his third album, Wolf, which he announced in 2010, during the spring of 2012 in May.
