While the Cash Money movement is innovative, there have been several movements before it. One movement, which took off, nationally, before Cash Money Records, was their cross-town rivals of No Limit Records.br /br /No Limit Records had several years of dominance, but their biggest year was 1998. Young Bleed, now signed to Tech N9ne’s Strage Music label, was the first 1998 No Limit release. His album, which was called emMy Balls and My Word/em, debuted at number one. The next year, Young Bleed released another album, which failed miserably.br /br /Now, with Tech N9ne, Young Bleed is remaking his 1998 hit, “How Ya do Dat,” Young Bleed has stories to tell. First, Bleed said the original version of “How Ya do Dat” was released on an independent label in his native Baton Rouge. Young Bleed said he has been following Tech N9ne for years and has always wanted to work with him, but they never had the opportunity.br /br /Clearing things up, Young Bleed said he was never quite No Limit. However, he was signed to Priority Records, the same label which distributed No Limit Records. Nearly all Priority Records’ hip hop artists were signed to No Limit Records, during this time. For promotional reasons, Young Bleed was packaged as a No Limit Records artist. When he did begin working with Master P, actually his label owner was handling the business between he and Master P.br /br /During his No Limit days, Young Bleed did end up spending much time with Master P. He told Young Bleed things would not always be this way for No Limit and advised him to do all he can while things were going well.
