Last year, Fat Joe decided it was time for him to change his image. Despite his hardcore lyrics and a high-profile feud with 50 Cent, Fat Joe was labeled as a “nice guy.” Joey Crack decided it was time to change things up. Fat Joe named his last studio album, The Darkside, Vol. 1.

Fat Joe promised there would soon be a sequel to the album. A year and some months later, Fat Joe has announced the sequel to the album. Breaking the trends, Fat Joe is following the album up with a mixtape. On the mixtape, Fat Joe promised to return with the street sounds.

The first mixtape of his career, Fat Joe said The Darkside, Vol. 2 will be the hardest mixtape ever. Promising the raw street sound, Fat Joe said the streets will love it. Fat Joe said the mixtape is right around the corner, coming in the next two and a half weeks. Aside from the mixtape, Fat Joe will continue his “album-a-year” trend, releasing a new album this year.

“Another Round” featuring Chris Brown will be the first single released off Fat Joe’s new album. Sticking with tradition, the song is produced by Cool amp; Dre. While the album does not have a title, Rico Love has also contributed to the album.
