Throughout his career, Soulja Boy has been criticized for a seemingly lack of lyrical ability. But, late last year, Soulja Boy sought to prove that he did have skills. He turned heads on Snoop Dogg’s “Pronto” and promised more on his album.br /br /With emThe DeAndre Way/em set to be released at the end of the month, the Atlanta rapper has been making his rounds. Recently, he appeared on the cover of emXXL /emwith 50 Cent. During his interview for the magazine, Soulja Boy spoke of his multiple critics. He said he had to prove he was not a joke, so it was time for him to step up.br /br /However, just because Soulja Boy has stepped up, it does not mean that he wants to alienate fans. While he is lyrical, Soulja Boy said he does not want to become too lyrical like Lupe Fiasco. He said Lupe’s rhymes are so far out there that most people do not understand him.
