Timbaland to be honored at VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South

Instead, Timbo has been producing more alternative music. It is more common to see Timbaland with the likes of Justin Timberlake, as opposed to a rapper. He even shut down his longtime hip hop Beat Club label in favor of his new label, Moseley Music /br /In 2003, Timbaland announced his retirement from the hip hop game. It was assumed he had retired from music, but Tim only retired from hip hop beats. From time-to-time, he does create hip hop beats, but not on the level he used to. Despite what the past seven years have been for him, Timbaland established himself as a force long ago. For seven years before this, he was hip /br /For the first time, VH1 has dedicated a Hip Hop Honors to one region of music. Given all of the accomplishments, VH1 has decided to give the world the VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South. In the past, Timbaland has produced for the likes of 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek, Ja Rule, Ginuwine, Missy Elliott, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, and many more.
