Three years ago, Jay-Z and Kanye West shocked the world when they announced they had a joint album in the works. They announced Watch The Throne and they immediately released “H.A.M.” Getting the rest of the album would not be nearly as simple.
“H.A.M.” ended up being a promo single that was not on the album, which would not be mentioned again until the summer. Jay-Z and Kanye West dropped “Otis” and immediately took over the 2011-2012 period. Watch The Throne was one of the biggest albums to drop in 2011 and there have been rumors of a sequel.
Fans in Austin got a treat when they learned Jay-Z and Kanye West would be performing at a Samsung Galaxy event at SXSW 2014. Earlier this week, Jay-Z and Kanye West returned as The Throne in Austin and performed their singles. The Throne put out such tracks as “Otis” and “Niggas in Paris” during their original run.
