Born in New Orleans and bred in Miami, DJ Khaled did a lot to keep the Southern hip hop scene on top during the 2007-2010 period. Where every other region dropped off after a five-to-seven year period, the South flourished. DJ Khaled was so good at uniting artists, Def Jam hired him to oversee the Southern division.
What some didn’t realizing, at the time, was that DJ Khaled was not limited to just one region. He reunited Fat Joe, Ja Rule, and Jadakiss for the We The Best album and has since signed Vado to We The Best Music Group. In many of his Instagram photos, Jadakiss shows up in them.
Currently putting together this We The Best Music Group compilation mixtape has had DJ Khaled in the studio with almost everyone. He is putting in all types of hours to get his project done and presented in the best possible manner. Uncle Murda recently was in the studio with DJ Khaled and Vado, which Khaled posted on Instagram.
