Tekashi69 has run into multiple legal issues in 2018 all while consistently putting out hit records. The latest run-in now is the Manhattan DA’s Office trying to lock him away for a year due to his previous plea deals and admitting his gang affiliations, according to The Blast.

Assistant District Attorney for New York County District Attorney’s Office Sara Weiss contacted the judge regarding 69’s involvement in sexual contact with a minor three years ago. Weis is proposing that 69 serves 1-3 years in jail and detailed his affiliation with 9 Trey Bloods and reports of gun violence.

“The defendant’s acknowledged membership in a violent Bloods set known as 9 Trey Bloods, along with an incident of gun violence perpetrated by this defendant’s entourage, make him an inappropriate candidate for adjudication as a Youthful Offender.”

In his own defense, 69 says he is not guilty at all because there haven’t been any convictions. He also noted that the plea deal ended in 2017. Weiss said after the plea deal, 69 was supposed to commit no more crimes.

“That sentencing date was pushed back several times because of Tekashi’s “own failure to obtained a GED, and his numerous requests for additional time to do so, that resulted in multiple adjournments and caused a lengthy delay in the sentencing date,” said Weiss.

69 is scheduled for a court appearance on Wednesday but it’s being reported that another delayed hearing may happen. 69 is currently in Dubai.
