Recently, Jadakiss returned to the game and began making his rounds with the media since his new single was released. Last week, Jadakiss released his “Big Boy Dialogue” single featuring The-Dream. A lot has changed since Jadakiss last released an album, mainly his label status.
Jadakiss was famously courted by Jay-Z to join Roc-A-Fella Records in 2007. His album faced delays for two years and by the time Jadakiss released his album, the entire roster of Roc-A-Fella Records had left the label. Since then, Jadakiss has been absorbed into the regular Def Jam label.
While Jadakiss is with Def Jam, he is fielding offers from other labels. Rumors have pointed Jadakiss and The L.O.X. to Maybach Music. Speaking with XXL, Jadakiss said he is fulfilling his contract with Def Jam with Top 5 Dead or Alive and that The L.O.X. may end up with Maybach Music.
