At the beginning of his career, Ja Rule was one of the most-popular names in rap. He got so hot, there was a time when his singles were guaranteed to hit Billboard’s top five. Just when it looked like it would never end, 50 Cent came, and Ja Rule became the butt of jokes.
Ja Rule proved to still be popular, initially withstanding 50 Cent’s wrath to deliver another platinum album, and more hits. But, following that brief revival, Ja Rule disappeared. His comeback efforts have mostly been panned, after a little momentum, back in 2007.
Now, despite receiving his legend props, Ja Rule often finds himself the butt of jokes. What didn’t help matters was the Fyre Fest debacle, which fans still blame him for. So, when Ja Rule tried to be the voice of reason, about the Popeye’s chicken sandwich murder, he got roasted, all over again.
