Earlier this week, it was revealed that Lil Yachty is being sued by Gunven’s Fine Jewelry for $233,000 after originally owing $600k. Since 2017, the Quality Control Music rapper has received a $175,000 white gold diamond ring, rose gold Patek Philippe watch listed at $195,000, a white gold Rolex for $95,000, and a white gold diamond tennis bracelet that costs $200,000. Where Yachty is really in trouble is that he supposedly tried to pay $70k of the $233k balance with a bounced check. From this point, people thought he was going broke.

Yachty is now taking to social media to address the situation and thinks Gunven’s is flat out lying on his name. Yachty says he paid $900k and he has receipts because he doesn’t carry cash. He also denies writing the bounced check because his mother was the one who wrote it a year ago from her own bank account. The problem there was his name was spelled wrong. Yachty also clarified that he’s never written a check in all of his 22 years of life.

Yachty went on to say that the jeweler tried to overprice him on jewelry and then tried to cash Yachty’s mother’s check. In the end, he supposedly tried to make Yachty look like the one who wrote the check. Check out him addressing Gunven’s below.
