Monica’s Divorce With Ex-NBA Player Shannon Brown Officially Finalized; Changes Last Name Back To Arnold

Monica and Shannon Brown have been separated for over a year now with their divorce being filed in March 2018. Despite this, she still supports Shannon in whatever he does such as his BIG3 games this past summer.

Now, the divorce is officially finalized as Monica went to court in Fayetteville, Georgia today, according to TMZ. Her attorney, Tanya Mitchell Graham, was also present. As far as Shannon, he didn’t make an appearance.

The hearing only lasted 10 minutes as the judge quickly made the divorce official. Monica’s maiden name was also restored as it’s now back to Arnold. The two had been married for almost 10 years and have a 6-year-old daughter named Laiyah. Monica left court smiling as she was accompanied by family.

Monica expressed disappointment in the divorce on VH1’s ‘T.I. and Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle’ this year as she didn’t want to be a single mom at 38 with three kids. Now that the divorce is finalized, hopefully she’s at peace.
