Klay Thompson is likely out for the season and NBA fans on Twitter have given up on the Warriors’ season, saying no playoffs, despite Steph Curry being healthy

Five years ago, the Golden State Warriors were wrapping up their preseason, and preparing for a historic run. The Warriors were fresh off a surprising 2014 playoff run, where they gave the Clippers an unexpected run for their money. That put the Warriors on the map.

Some pundits, looking to make hot takes, said Golden State could win the championship. Both the Warriors, and the Atlanta Hawks, went on surprising runs that took the NBA by storm. Regretfully, the Hawks were a fluke, but the Warriors were the real deal.

Not only did the Warriors build a dynasty, but they also built a classic rivalry with LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers. Their run was even documented in books, as the Warriors were good for 67 or 73 wins. It all came to an end, when the Toronto Raptors got the better of them, in the 2019 Finals.

However, defenders of the Warriors noted that Kevin Durant being injured hurt the team, and they likely would have won Game 6, if Klay Thompson didn’t go down. But, when it was over, it was over, and Golden State prepared for the next season, this season. This morning, Steve Kerr said Klay is likely done for the season, and the fans are writing the Warriors off for the season, despite Steph Curry being fully healthy, and ready to go.
