Lasr weekend in Fort Worth TX, 28-year-old unarmed black woman, Atatiana Jefferson, was shot and killed after 34-year old Aaron Dean entered her home for a welfare check. This was after a neighbor had called police about her door being open. All Jefferson was doing was playing video games with her eight-year-old nephew and of course, these white supremacists cops continue to feel intimidated by black people.
Dean ended up being arrested this week and was charged with murder. He was originally supposed to be fired but resigned before that happened. Fort Ford PD obviously gave Dean too much time to resign. He has since been out on $20,000 bond.There is now some heartwarming news coming out of the situation as Harrison Barnes of the Sacramento Kings and Malik Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles will be paying for Jefferson’s funeral, according to The Dallas Morning News.
Barnes and his wife, Brittany, will be covering over half the costs of the funeral while Jackson will take care of the rest, according to attorney Lee Merritt, who represents Jefferson’s family. Barnes’ rep says they’re paying for 90% of it.
Salute to Barnes and Jackson for this very generous gesture. Jefferson should be alive today and Dean has no business being out on bond.
