Tonight, Playboi Carti had fans up, waiting on him to finally drop his new album. The popular rapper was supposed to drop Whole Lotta Red, tonight, and fans were waiting for it. But, it looks like that wait will have to last a little longer.
Playboi Carti first emerged, back in 2015, along with a wave of Atlanta artists. That 2015 wave was strange, seeing how nearly all those artists disappeared by 2016. Confusingly enough, in 2017, they all made lasting comebacks, becoming huge figures in the game.
In the case of Carti, he is so popular that he has thousands of fans up waiting on his album. The reason he has taken over number one on trending, via Twitter, is due to the album not dropping. Guess that’s why he calls himself “Playboi,” because Carti definitely played his fans, tonight.
