A lingering debate within the community is who is allowed to “come to the cookout.” No question, the black community is one of the most-welcoming of all the cultures. In no other cultures are there “honorary” members.

Hip hop is the most-welcoming arm of the culture, often saying race isn’t hip hop, it is a culture, itself. Yes, when it comes to music, it has become the most-popular genre. Because of this, people of all races listen to, and even create, the music.

Gina Rodriguez got into hot water, yesterday, for reciting the lyrics to the classic Fugees single, “Ready or Not,” when she said the “N-word,” during Lauryn Hill’s verse. All day, yesterday, she got a thorough dragging from Twitter. Today, Twitter tried adding Cardi B, and Fat Joe, to this, but others shut it down, and Cardi offered her own response.
