Megan Thee Stallion’s buzz in 2019 has been one to remember. She took off this past February with her hit single “Big Ole Freak.” This track was released in 2018 on her “Tina Snow” mixtape but people finally recognized its greatness. She soon followed up that success with her “Fever” mixtape in May which contained hit records such as “Realer” and “Cash S*it” featuring DaBaby.

The BET Hip-Hop Awards are airing now and the Houston rapper just took home the award for “Best Mixtape” as it went to Realer. Other candidates were Jack Harlow’s “Loose,” Kevin Gates’ “Luca Brasi 3,” Roddy Ricch’s “Feed The Streets II,” Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y’s “2009,” and YBN Nahmir, YBN Almighty Jay, and YBN Cordae’s “YBN: The Mixtape.”

Megan looks like she’s here to stay as she remains one of the hottest artists in the game. Expect her debut album to be released around after the start of 2020. Check out Megan accepting her award below.
