Representing the new wave, NAO is a UK native, who has been making her crossover into America. Signed to RCA Records, NAO is beginning to make her impact. Last year, she released Saturn, her sophomore album.
With her momentum high, NAO performed at Essence Fest, earlier this year. Most artists in R&B and Soul music view the Essence Fest as a major feat, once booked to perform there. Definitely, NAO was put on the radar, when she performed there.
HIP-HOPVIBE.COM had the opportunity to chat with NAO, in a funny and light conversation. The British singer spoke on her journey to get where she is. Also, she provided her perspective on why these artists, as of late, don’t break into the American markets until much later.
