Antonio Brown has been a mess all summer for the Oakland Raiders. He had problems with his feet, threatened to retire if he didn’t get the helmet he wanted, and even threatened General Manager Mike Mayock. He had an Instagram post this afternoon asking for his release and that’s exactly what the Raiders gave him.
Brown missed out on $30 million with his release and became a free agent immediately. Many wondered where he’d go. The Patriots are known for signing diva/toxic players so all signs pointed to Brown. This shockingly became a reality as he just inked a 1-year, $15 million deal with New England.
From an NFL fan perspective, this was a very weak move. He disrespected everybody in the Raiders’ organization and now is on the typical “superstar joins a super team wave.” Check out Twitter reactions to the signing below.
