Cardi B won #VMAs Best Hip-Hop for “Money,” but receives backlash on Twitter, accused of being a rapist, and payola, as some call her speech “embarrassing”

Look, Cardi B IS the American dream, because she never gave up, and she never settled. Four years ago, most considered Cardi B “lucky” to “just” be on “Love & Hip Hop.” But, that wasn’t enough for her, she wanted to be the biggest rapper in the game.

While everybody laughed, Cardi B had a plan, and executed it. She got her major label deal, but her first single flopped. However, that single led to her and Offset getting together, as “Bodak Yellow” made her a history-making rap star.

Cardi B has been making hits for two years straight, making millions of dollars on weekends. So, it comes as no surprise that Cardi B would win Best Hip-Hop for “Money,” at the VMAs, tonight. Unfortunately, the fans on Twitter didn’t see things that way, so they dragged Cardi B, twisting many stories about her, pushing the rapist allegations.
