Controversially, Jay-Z and Roc Nation have entered a partnership with the NFL. The deal covers the music entertainment portion of America’s most-popular league. This deal has turned off the hip hop world, where they first hailed Jay-Z as their hero.
Since the beginning of his career, Jay-Z has been just as much of a businessman, as a rapper. But, he truly began rising the corporate ranks in 2004, when he took over as Def Jam’s head. Recent years have seen him act as an activist, of sorts, also.
With all of his activism, Jay-Z and Colin Kaepernick have become close, so many viewed it as a betrayal that he would then partner with the NFL. Because of this, the paparazzi tried to get Solange, Jay’s sister-in-law, to speak on it. Not only did she refuse, but a woman tried to get the paparazzi to back off, lifting her arms to reveal her pits, to cruel jokes from the paparazzi.
