When it comes to female rappers, 2019 has become one of the most-dominant years since the 1990s. This year took a deviation from the norm that is Nicki Minaj/Remy Ma/Cardi B. Instead, Megan Thee Stallion is the hottest female rapper out.

Megan Thee Stallion came through with some viral records, which managed to transition into radio success. Mainly, “Big Ole Freak” managed to be her breakthrough hit. Then, she coined the “hot girl summer” phrase.

Turning that phrase into dollars, Megan Thee Stallion trademarked the phrase, and added Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign to the record. Yesterday, she attempted to shoot the music video. Sadly, she didn’t have the proper permission for that side of LA, so the shoot was shut down.
