True hip hop heads know about Ras G, who has been putting in work since 2005. The Los Angeles native has built a remarkable career for himself. Becoming loved by the masses, Ras G is huge on the underground scene.
While Flying Lotus has become a relatively big name, Ras G was one of his first believers. Another huge underground name Ras G has worked with is Open Mike Eagle. Since 2005, Ras G has been releasing projects, but last released one in 20016.
Unfortunately, Ras G will not have any new material come out in his lifetime. Earlier this afternoon, it was reported that Ras G died, and it is another major death that has Twitter paying their respects. Such names as Just Blaze have tweeted in memory of him.
