This week, one of the saddest stories hit the internet. In Chicago, the world learned of a young lady named Janise Harris, who happened to be going through a hard time. Sadly, this hard time got harder, as the young lady was bullied, with it all being filmed for social media.
Janise Harris is fifteen years old and she has a mental disability. A group of girls pretended to befriend Janise, walking her home, knowing her mother recently died. That didn’t stop them from jumping her, making her cry, after her repeated pleas, as boys laughed while filming.
After the beating, Janise Harris was reported missing. Many worried and began threatening the bullies, leading to the girls giving a tearful apology to the world. But, Janise Harris was found safe, and she is now back with her family.
