As the MCU goes into Phase 4 of it’s interconnected movie universe, news regarding upcoming projects are starting to leak out. One such rumor is the search for who will bring the X-men’s Storm to the big screen. The excitement for Storm and the X-men has been bubbling up since the Disney acquisition of Fox studio and it’s many characters and properties. The status of black/African based superheroes has grown to incredible feats with mainstream audiences since the release of Black Panther. With the first movie making over a billion dollars, it’s more than guaranteed that a sequel is slated to come next.
If the rumors are true, there are two notable actresses gunning for the role of Storm in the MCU. Aja Naomi King and Nikki Beharie are reportedly in competition for the role of storm on Black Panther 2. Further rumors speculate that Aja is considered to be the favorite even though Chadwick Boseman is rallying for Beharie to get the role.
