On June 22, Teairra Mari was arrested early in the morning in New York City on a DWI charge after she was caught by police driving her Dodge Charger with a missing wheel. The front of the car was hitting the road as sparks were flying as well. Police also saw that she smelled like alcohol and drove without a license.
The DWI charge could soon turn into a felony, according to TMZ. This is due to a 2011 DWI charge she caught in in Los Angeles. Her attorney, Jane Remler, has since declined to release any comments regarding this situation.
A second DWI, especially with it being a felony, could land Mari some jail time. Hopefully that won’t be the case though. Aside from this legal issue, Mari’s been beefing with 50 Cent since last fall when she tried to sue him for spreading her leaked sex tape that was classified as revenge porn. 50 ended up beating that as Mari had to pay him $30,000 in legal fees. She still hasn’t paid that amount to 50 and has been trolling him on social media about it since as she released the diss track “I Ain’t Got It.“
