Looks like Nicki Minaj wasn’t the only one in the studio working on some new music… Nicki’s mother, Carol Maraj who has previously been in the headlines defending her son Jelani Maraj, released a new track titled, “What Makes You.”
The upbeat ‘80 tempo dance track is a follow up to her previous singles, “Endless” and “I Am Free”.The new release is about a lover making someone melt by loving them like no one else. Now it’s clear as to where Nicki developed the talent for creating such catchy tunes.
Ms. Carol isn’t new to music, back in 2017 she released a video for her track “Endless” so she’s been on a short hiatus but she’s back like she never left.Although, Nicki enjoys exploring the depths of her voice throughout some of her tracks, Carol always flexes her vocals throughout a three-minute plus tune.
Miss Maraj, 59, is a gospel singer, songwriter and playwright from Saint James, Trinidad And Tobago. Looks like after years of watching her daughter dominate the charts worldwide, Carol Maraj is getting her piece of the pie!
