Lil Nas X shocked social media yesterday as he came out as gay on the last day of Pride Month. He posted the video to his “C7osure” song and told fans to listen closely because it gave signs of his sexuality. He also said his the cover art for his “7” EP gave some clues as well as there was a rainbow building in it.

As far as Nas X’s 7 EP goes, it’s doing very well. It just debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 77,330 total album equivalent units. 3,853 of them were pure album sales and the streaming numbers totaled 90,377,677. His mega hit single, “Old Town Road” remix featuring Billy Ray Cyrus is still No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well.

The Raconteurs’ new album, “Help Us Stranger,” reached the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart but as Nas X continues to build momentum it could take over that spot by next week. Since the 7 EP is out, expect him to start working on his debut studio album too.
